After losing two conecutive games before Christmas, 1-0 to Summerside and 3-2 to Kings County the Red Devils have started the New Year with two consecutive wins, 8-3 over Charlottetown and 4-0 last evening over the Mid Isle Matrix.

Logan Birt earned the shutout in the net for Pownal. Goal scores for Pownal were Luke Garnhum 1g, 1 a, Sam MacNeil 1g, 1a, Lucas Parsons 2 g. Other assists were recorded by Michael Gallant 2, William Proud 2, Chloe Hawes 1, and Riley MacDougall 1 .Shots on goal were 31-12 in favour of the Red Devils. Pownal now improves to 11 wins and 4 losses on the season.

Pownal will travel to Summerside (13w 2 l)  to take on the first place Capitals on Sunday evening at 6:15 pm
