Pownal Wins Big in Kensington

The Pownal Novice AA boys worked hard as a team and were rewarded for their efforts with an 11-0 win over Gulf Storm this past Saturday.  The team's passing was excellent and resulted in several nice goals. Brae Johnston and Kelton Trainor scored their first goals of the year, and Justin Smith had a wonderful end to end rush and just missed scoring.   The team carried their strong play right through the third when they killed off two penalties.  Jevon Morrow made a number of key saves, including a nice glove save on a high shot from the left side in the second period, to earn the shutout.

The boys hit the ice on Wednesday for a practice and team photo session sporting their new jerseys and socks!  Next up is the Pownal Markan Hardwood Plus Memorial Tournament where they will meet Gulf Storm again in the first game at 5:10 in Pownal.
