Red Devils Advance to Early Bird Semi Finals

The Pownal Red Devils (team 2) did everyone proud by advancing to the semi finals of the Early Bird tournmament (in the Atom AA division) held over this past weekend.  They eventually lost to a powerhouse Halifax squad, but fought back after a slow start to hold them off the scoresheet for the final two periods.

They managed this despite missing some key players (and coaches), while facing a team with size and speed they have not seen before.  Good job stepping up boys, and coaches too.

The Pownal Red Devils were the only team from PEI to make the semi finals, as the other three teams were from Nova Scotia.  You did a great job representing the Island, and Pownal - well done boys!
