With the World Junior finals coming up later that evening, the Red Devils were all fired up when they took to the ice against the Abbies. Pownal got lots of shots on the net early in the first, but neither team put any points on the board.

Early in the second Connor MacPherson soared into the net Bobby Hull-like off a rebound. Drew MacPhee and Gavin Mason assisted on the goal. Then Carson Lund, assisted by Lance Kennedy and Sam Parsons, put one in as Pownal did some digging around the net. Charlottetown scored at the five minute mark. The Devils put on the pressure and Kennedy put one up over the goalie's shoulder. Lund and Noah Brehaut had assists that goal.
To round out the period, Lund sniped a shot into the top pocket unassisted, making it a 4-1 game.

Early in the third, Mason sniped in his own shot with assists from MacPhee and Owen Brown. The Abbies scored their second of the game. Pownal goalie Nathan Bruce made some nice stops down low, and kept them to two goals.

The Red Devils had 23 shots on goal, while the Abbies had 16. Lund left the dressing room with the hard hat after his two goal and one assist night. Kennedy had this to say after the game, "it's good to have two wins in a row, and we have another game this week against Montague." Bruce said, "we had some really good forechecking tonight and good bounces. The boys did a good job crashing the net nad creating opportunities." The players mentioned the coaches had also given an especially inspirational speech before the game.
